I’ve been using baking to express myself my whole life. Whether it was the first cake I baked with my mom on Ella Street or late nights before finals in high school with my dad baking brownies and giant cookies as a “focusing tool” for me and my classmates.
Jaimarie's Story
Baking and treat making have always been a favorite part of me, and I considered a degree in culinary arts, but at that time “it wasn’t the path to a big income.” I continued to college taking on a different path, which led to a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. I landed a career in the field of construction inspection, which I currently still do, but baking never really stopped.

In 2019, I had my first baby and COVID had just started making its way around, but this allowed me to take extended maternity leave and again I found myself baking back at Ella Street. Fast forward to today, my passion just continues to grow, and I find so much joy in sharing it with others. The same Joy you get from the smell of freshly baked cake. For some, it’s “just cake,” but for me, it’s Joy, Love and Cakes!
